After a decade as a highly recognisable member of the Australian Metal and Hardcore scenes, delivering a broad and diverse mix of Heavy music, sharing stages with artists like AT THE GATES, ARCH ENEMY, PERIPHERY, DARKEST HOUR, CARNIFEX, PSYCROPTIC, KING PARROT and many more, AS SILENCE BREAKS announced that it would be rebirthing itself as DAEMON PYRE in May, 2014. With one last performance in support of metal stalwarts, BLOOD DUSTER, the band said goodbye to that chapter and welcomed a new era. Having spent 2013 writing and recording
what would become the first album for DAEMON PYRE, and completing a national sold out tour of Japan, with THE CROWN, GOROD and GOTSU TOTSU KOTSU, the band made the decision to become something new. With no original members remaining and new music well and truly rooted in the Heavy Metal soundscape, the decision was made to launch a new brand, with an entirely new set of ideals, musical themes and overall aesthetic and the band wasted no time, making the announcement to the Australian Metal scene, only days later, that they had been reborn under the name DAEMON PYRE. In less than 6 months, DAEMON PYRE have already gained immediate traction, being asked to support Queensland's 4 DEAD IN 5 SECONDS and Victoria's HADAL MAW on their album tours, covering ground in several Australian states.
Coupling rave reviews of their live performances, with strong support and airplay of their first two singles from radio stations like TRIPLE J, HAUG 24/7, 4ZZZ, ADELAIDE RADIO and BLU FM, DAEMON PYRE has garnered immediate attention across the Australian Metal community.
The bands third single, "Darkened Perceptions" features guest vocals from legendary Death Metal frontman JASON PEPPIATT (PSYCROPTIC), and is set to be released exclusively via ex TRIPLE J host ANDREW HAUG'S online radio station (http://andrewhaug.com/) in late November, 2014 and with their debut self titled album release coming in early January, 2014, backed by an album tour, DAEMON PYRE show no signs of slowing down.
